Andrea's Summer Cherry Lemonade

As my son Watson and I ventured out into our misting and cloud covered suburban orchard, we noticed the cherries wouldn't last long. They say the early bird gets the worm, but missing bits in several of the cherries suggested that they would be getting our harvest, too. Without wasting any time, we filled our basket and with each juicy gem we picked, our excitement grew for the refreshing lemonade we would soon create.

1 cup fresh cherries

2 lemons juiced

Sweetener of choice

Sparkling or regular water

Add juice and and smashed cherries into a 32 oz. Jar. Top off with ice and add sparkling or regular water to the top. Allow the mixture to sit in the fridge for 2 hours. Add sweetener and enjoy.

For a more patriotic drink, add blueberries!
