Delicious Homemade Cold and Flu Remedy (With a Tropical Kick!)

Whether you're feeling a cold coming on or you are in the middle of a full-blown flu virus, try this delightful remedy to ease your symptoms. Following the recipe, I have included all the believed benefits of all the ingredients for your interest. I'm pledging now to always put the recipe first. There's nothing worse than wanting a quick recipe and having to read through stories about the authors cats surgery, the color of the sky that day and literally anything that doesn't involve the recipe. Ingredients:


16 oz. of pineapple juice

1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper

1/4 teaspoon of turmeric

1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon

3 tablespoons of lemon juice

2 teaspoons of honey

1 16oz. mason jar or cup with lid

*If the flavor is too strong or spicy, add a little more pineapple juice.


Directions:


Add all of the ingredients to a mason jar and screw the lid down tight. Shake aggressively to get the honey mixed in. This takes quite awhile but it will eventually blend. Sip throughout the day and drink lots of water.
