Fight the Common Cold and Flu with Homemade Shower Bombs

With cold and flu season in full swing, it is vital to take precautions. Even then, we might find ourselves with some sniffles. Thankfully, there are many cold and flu remedies! These vapor rub shower bombs are perfect for soothing congested nasal passages.



Ingredients:


1.25 cups Cornstarch or arrowroot powder


1/2 cup baking sofa


1 3.53 oz. Jar of vapor rub of choice


8-10 muffin tin liners


Instructions:


1. Mix all ingredients in a small bowl to make a dough.


2. Roll the dough into small balls and place into the muffin liners, and place into the pan.

3. Allow bombs to freeze for 4-6 hours before storing them in an airtight container.

4. Place a bomb in the drain during a shower to activate the vapor, or use it in a foot soak.


Makes 8-10 shower bombs and each bomb lasts for about 2-3 showers. For a foot bath, roll into smaller balls for 20–25-foot soaks.


Warning: Vapor rubs are greasy and slippery! Keep the bomb in the drain, and don't use it in a full body bath, as the ingredients can irritate the more intimate areas of your body.



The foot soak is a great option for people with cracked heals! After soaking your feet, allow them to airdry before putting on some cozy socks. In the morning, your feet will be less dry, and the cracks will have started to heal faster.
