How to Make Pumpkin Seeds in the Air Fryer

Those adorable pumpkins on your front porch will be headed for the compost soon as Thanksgiving approaches in just a few days and as the Christmas season goes into full swing. But before you exchange them for wreathes, cute little trees, and snowmen, scoop out the seeds and make a healthy and tasty treat loaded with vitamin A! My favorite way to make pumpkin seeds is in the air fryer. They come out so crunchy and delicious and it's so easy!


Step 1: Cut open your pumpkin and scoop out the seeds.

Step 2: Remove the guts from the seeds and rinse.

Step 3: Place all the seeds in a bowl and drizzle some extra virgin olive oil over the seeds.

Step 4: Sprinkle some salt to taste.

Step 5: Place some parchment paper in the air fryer basket.

Step 6: Lay seeds evenly over the paper where they don't touch. They can a little but don't make a pile of seeds.

Step 7: Set your air fryer temp to 400 degrees and cook for about 10 minutes. You may wish to shake the seeds a bit about half way through.


That's it! Let them cool, but not too much. Hot seeds are so tasty! Enjoy!


Bonus: You can do this with pretty much any squash seed! I've tried acorn squash seeds and they are amazing!
