Thank God it's almost over. The ads. The lies. The blame games. Ah yes, it's election eve as I write this. So many people are ready to ride some wave, and the world will be a better place again. Hope runs high because they seemingly have nothing else to cling to anymore.
If your life sucks now, it will also suck after the polls close. It's up to you to take control of your home, not anyone else. Relying on the government to care for you is like depending on a canoe to cross an ocean. You need a better plan, and that plan starts with you.
No matter who is in office, we all need to prepare in the best way we can. I don't just mean stocking two years of beans and rice. Things will probably worsen before they improve, and we must be strong. Families need to learn skills, start bartering, plant a garden, and strengthen their homes from within. Self-reliance comes in many forms:
Grow some food
Homeschool your kids
Exercise
Learn self-defense
Pay off your debts
Grow your faith
Get to know your neighbors
Don't feel like you need to do all these things, but if you can, go for it. You have more control over what happens in your house than the white house. It's true. Always remember, in good times and bad, keep prepping! God Bless America!
