Santa's Pumpkin Bread

Updated: Dec 27, 2021

Don't get Santa burned out on cookies and milk! Switch it up this year and serve this delicious treat instead. This yummy bread is sure to warm his heart and keep him going all night!

1 1/4 cups sugar

1/2 cup butter

2 eggs

1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree

6 oz. evaporated milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

1 cup of chopped walnuts (optional)

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease two 8x4 loaf pans.

2. In a large mixing bowl mix sugar and butter. Add eggs, pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt, pumpkin pie spice and nuts.

3. Bake 8-inch loaves 45-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

4. Cool 15 minutes. Remove from pans and place onto a plate or cooling rack. Cool for 1 hour before slicing.

5. Serve warm and buttered.

Sometimes it can get cold up in the sleigh, so instead of milk, leave him some homemade hot chocolate in a compostable to-go mug! You can find this recipe HERE.

What do you like to leave out for Santa? We'd love to know! Thanks for reading!
